We save small amounts of money the same way you do and we are doing much better than most people I know. It is definitely the small stuff that adds up! For us, saving money is about spending less on everyday small items just as you mention, … However, I tend to focus on bigger cost savings on things like car insurance or homeowners insurance, rather than getting preoccupied with finding a quarter on the road.
