I’m all for finding real ways of saving money , but knocking someone for seeing a $5 movie is pretty extreme. I guess it does depend on what she means by “frequent,” (which is presumably the journalist’s word) if that means most weeks that’s notably different than ever ….. About the only things I would purchase without frugality are safe vehicles, first-rate medical care and good beer. I get free beer, however, so vehicles and medical care are about it, at the moment. …
